See No Evil: the international festival of street art

I’m just back from a brilliant weekend down in Bristol catching up with some of my nearest and dearest.  There were all the usual shenanigans (plus a few new ones…) but, perhaps the safest (and some would probably say the most appropriate) adventure to share would be our trip to See No Evil.

Billed as one of the most ambitious international urban art projects, some of the world’s leading street artists have taken over Nelson Street in the heart of the city, to create some of the largest scale graffiti art ever painted.

Featured artists included New York based muralists, Tats Cru whose aerosol based work is dubbed to have ‘changed the perception of graffiti as art’ and LA artist El Mac whose work is prolific across every continent. There were also artists from France, Holland, Spain and Brazil and some brilliant work from Bristol’s own Inkie.

Of course, we cunningly decided to go see the festival in the middle of a torrential downpour…. (which is why I’m now curled up in bed sniffling) but I hope you enjoy the pics!
