Anomaly Top Pick

JO GARNER

As part of the Anomaly platform I have been doing weekly Top Picks of jewellers whose work is inspiring, creative and in my opinion, important to contemporary jewellery today.

This week it is Fife based jeweller Dr Beth Legg. I really relate to the way she designs and feel that the way she describes it has pretty much summed up my own approach to materials too.

She enjoys the labour of traditional hand tool methods – forming a dialogue with materials through the exploration of their innate qualities and discovering their inherent possibilities. Beth finds this process of designing through making both intellectually and emotionally satisfying.

Here is a picture of one of her beautiful brooches. Just click on the image to be taken to the full article.

Fallen Trees

Getting round to filling you in on my recent trips honest. 🙂
